I just got back from volleyball (which was great tonight!), and I am talking to my friend Mike online. He has sparked my interest with a suggestion of yoga. His baseball season has ended, and he is looking for something else to fill his time.

I think that it’s a great idea! I might just check out something local..and see where it takes me. Perhaps it will help with my lack of short-term memory, and panic attacks. That would be good!

This new hair cut of mine is not worth the energy. I hate it. Described as a “shag”, which seems to be what everyone is doing lately, it just isn’t me. I have naturally curly/wavy hair. Which means, in order for the cut to look good, I have to straighten my hair. I don’t have the time or the energy to do this daily!

I always shower at night, since I never have enough time in the morning. So now I have to add to my night routines blow-drying my hair and straightening it; just so I don’t have to do that in the morning. I can just quickly run the straightening iron quickly over my hair. Way too high-maintenance for my liking. I like the ability to take the extra time if I am going out for the night, or “wash-n-go” in the mornings when I don’t have that much time. Grrr.

My neighbors music is so loud. It started at about 8:30 tonight. Almost 3 hours later…I still hear The Beatles full blast!

His name is Tom. The only times I have ever seen him is when he is drunk.

He came to my door tonight, introduced himself to me again, and asked if his music was too loud. I told him that is was, in a nice way. He shook my hand about 10 times…and retreated back to his appartment.

It was a nice gesture that he came to my door to ask. Even if he didn’t really turn the music down.

Hmm. I bought this today, Starch Away, from Wal*Mart. We’ll see just how well it works….more news to come.

It’s Saturday, and like last week, I am supposed to get paid on Friday; but my bank balance still reflects no pay. Which means AGAIN no groceries. I have no idea what I am going to do. Things are getting really tight. I am still missing a weeks pay AND some pay for a day. I didn’t get paid for the day of the blackout. Even though I was at work for 2 hours; and everyone else got paid for it. Whatever. I doubt that I will ever see that money. BUT the week that I am behind, I am TOTALLY entitled to. Actually, if you read #14, I am entitled to some pay for the blackout too! Plus, I have worked there for more than 2 years with no vacation, and no vacation pay. I am entitled to 2 weeks after working for 22 months. June 30 would have marked the end of 22 months; it’s now 25 months. Screw this crap. I am getting so sick of busting my ass, and getting nothing in return. I used to go beyond the call of duty. But lately, since I am not working 60 hour weeks, and only working the 40 that I get paid for, I somehow get shit on. I used to work on Saturdays too without pay. I was told I could “bank my hours” for time off. I have never taken a day off, except the day my cat died. I did get paid that day. But now I get docked pay, not even the correct amount (but how would I ever know since I don’t get a pay-stub!). Obviously no one has heard of labour laws.

A trip to the salon and $78.00CDN later (excluding tip!). All I got was a cut (which includes a scalp & neck massage, shampoo & style) and some product. It’s insane! I mean the cut is great. Nancy does a fabulous job. I just wish I had enough time in the mornings to do what she does.

Why does it cost so much for women’s hair cuts? I have been to those “others”, and will never go back. Let’s just say, “you get what you pay for”. And $10.00 (or whatever it is now) gets you a straight cut, with no styling afterwards. I went once in grade 11, and that was the last time. But still, a decent cut is going to cost you at least $30-$40 + tip. Insane! Let’s not even discuss the high-lights/low-lights! That’s a whole other story, and a whole other occasion.

I thought that it would be a horrible day, when I arrived at work and realized that there was no coffee. I knew this the day before, yet I forgot to try and bring some. I had hoped to pick some up on the weekend….had I been paid. But since I had no money, this was not possible. The accountant came in, and he headed to the “House of Java” to buy a pound of a dark roast. Him and I are the same when it comes to coffee. It was pretty good! So what I thought started out as the worst day on earth, turned around. Pretty sad how it is hard to function without my daily dose of caffeinee!

CarWraps.ca - Advertising that Really Drives Traffic!
Last year I requested to do this to my car. I figured everyone stares at my car anyways…why not give them something to stare at? The extra $400/month would have really helped. Damn them though…they never got back to me after 3 attempts. Who knows…I may still be driving now if I had done this. But for now my car just sits, waiting for me to get enough money to afford insurance again.
