Room to Breathe

As I sit here all sweaty, from my 2 hours of DDR, I think about my book I’ll
read before bed tonight.

I love starting a new book. Oh the anticipation of what will happen, even
what it is about. That’s what I like best - not even know what it’s about.

I got a library card tonight. That place is busy! I haven’t been to the
library since College. That’s so pathetic, and embarrassing, that I don’t
want to admit it.

I also picked up Berlitz’s German on CD. What the heck? Trying new things
never hurt anyone!

Why is it that the people with the least amount of money….are able to get
the most amount of credit? I have more credit than I make in a year!

I came home today from work and got my mail. E-mail I check 13294723947239
time a day, and my mail box I check once a week. All that I get are bills,
so why should I be anxious to check it? I know when they are due.

The first “official” looking envelope I get is from Capital One.
“Pre-Approved for $5000″ I through it out. Why would I want to pay a $59
annual fee, and only a 9.9% interest rate? The second envelope was from my
bank. My Line of Credit got increased by $2000. Third envelope I opened
was a MasterCard one. My credit limit got increased by $2200. I hadn’t
even finished opening my mail, and already I had $9200 available to me! The
other 4 envelopes were actually bills, MasterCard, VISA, Hydro and Cable.

Hey, I could have a pretty decent vacation….hmmm…No. I don’t like the
payments that follow. Goal: Get ride of credit cards. I have built up
enough credit history for 3 lives.

No wonder I had such a hard time finding it; no one CAN have it. Most stores said, “people ask for it all the time, I haven’t seen it for a long time.  Great game though!”  Konami stopped shipping it here, and they said it would be just luck if I found a copy.

Toys R Us, had none.  I had them check to see if any other store had it.  He said, “I’m showing one in Brampton, but I can’t guarentee that it’s really there.”  I asked him to see another store, and he said that was all of Canada!  So we went to Brampton.  Nothing.  I said, “Hamilton says you are showing one.”  He said, “we’ll we have one in the back, but it’s defective.”  Apparently there is nothing wrong with it, but they can’t sell used items, and it was a floor demo.  They had the dance pad at one time.  Dammit.

So I called and went everywhere, with the only choice being to wait, and buy it online.  I didn’t care, new or used.  But one store had it….Microplay! They said they “import” it from the states.  Amazing.  I guess there are some licensing issues here in Canada.  I suppose because of some of the music.

Whatever.  I got my game, and I am happy .  Very happy (and hot and sweaty now too!).

I went shopping today. Bought nothing, but I am in desperate search of DDR
for my PS2. I bought the dance pad, and can’t find the game. Most stores
laugh at me, and say “people ask for the game everyday!” And, “sorry they
are out of stock. But a new one comes out in October!” Dammit I want the
game now! Not in 4 or 5 months! The only option is to buy the game online,
since no stores in Canada stock the game anymore.

I also had my v-ball league @ The Dynes tonight. Our game got moved to
today instead of tomorrow because of scheduling (probably a tournament or
something). So I played my normal game, and then our team was asked if we
wanted to play the next game too; since another team didn’t show up. The
game wouldn’t count for anything, but I’ll certainly jump at any opportunity
to play!

Then some guys I know show up for the next game, and need 2 girls or they
would have to forfeit. Of course I said yes, but no other girl from my team
wanted to play. So we had to play only with 4 on the court, and 1 guy sub
(must have 2 girls on the court in co-ed 6’s).

My head hurts, and I didn’t get to drink beer. But 3 hours of straight
beach v-ball, I don’t care!
